Yearly Archives: 2005Jeffrey, Pashcal (our driver/tour guide/bodyguard), and I took a trip up to the Statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janiero, Brazil this morning — an incredibly beatufil site, with the most amazing views of the city below. There was a quiet calm on the mountain when we made it to the top. I… Oh wow I would love to take a look out there, beautiful photo Jessica, it must have been a wonderful trip I love the way the blue ski is behind the outstretched hands of the Statue of Christ the Redeemer and.. the words you used, the “quiet calm.” I’m so happy for you to have the opportunity to see so many of the beautiful sites of our world. I spent Thanksgiving this year in New Orleans with Jeffrey. We felt that it was an appropriate place to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a place to be thankful. Thankful for even the small things — like a place to go home to. We were in New Orleans the day before Hurricane Katrina and because of… WOW Jess – I bet that was really an amazing experience. This picture is at the Charlotte Bobcats basketball game last week — good times. The picture was taken by Jeffrey’s 3 year old granddaughter, Claudia. What a doll! We are waiting in the JFK airport for our departure flight to London. Jeffrey will give a talk the day after tomorrow in Birmingham — and then… London is a beautiful town, I’v been there long ago. My first time — Jeffrey’s home. He’s got a whole list of places to show me. I’m really looking forward to it. And the excitement within him is glowing. Hope you and Jeffrey enjoy yourselves. Learning to live with pain. Because I’ve suffered from scoliosis since I was about 14 years old, I thought I would have to. Until this past Sunday when I had my first visit to a chiropractor. Dr. Phil. What an amazing man. He is kind. Gentle, but effective. Intelligent. And passionate about what he does…. I surely hope this helps Jessica, living with pain is awful. I have RSI in my neck and shoulders. Pain all day, awful. And there is nothing they can do about it sadly enough. Mom - jess…I just happened to check your Blog. I just love it when you post something, even just a walk to the local restuarants. It’s the 22nd here also, but only 12:30 pm. Liz, John, her parents, and Megan and I are going to some of the Tacoma museums around 5:00 pm tonight. Should be interesting to see how many people are milling around the city. Glad to hear you are having a good time. We all love you and wish the happiest holdiay and Merry Christmas to you and Jeffrey.
