Ali, Simon, and I had a great time on our baby shopping adventure in Portland. We found all kinds of fun little shops – each with their own mix of delights. Since neither of us know the sex of our baby, there were lots of cream and white finds! We’re heading to the coast today…

Monthly Archives: August 2008There is so much rain in Charlotte today! I’m back on the road again. Today will be my first solo flight (without Jeffrey) in a long time! Yesterday I made sure I had all my supplies to keep me comfortable on the long flight from Charlotte to Portland. I’m so excited that Ali and Simon… By now you have traveled safely to OR. Hope your flight was a good one. To have Ali and Simon at the other end waiting is so wonderful. I’m behind on my blog reading and so tickled that you’re pregnant, too! I’m due the same day as Ali. (And I am a bad pregnant lady… I eat it a LOT. Fresh Vancouver salmon is my weakness). And Pilot turned out alright. mmmmm sushi! i know when i get pregnant i will have to have some veggie or cooked rolls. i cant give up my sushi entirely! That looks yummy to me! Could you describe what is in there? Yummm. I remember that great Japanese restaurant. That lunch looks really good! It sounds like you are really thinking more about food now that you are pregnant. Maybe you’ll start sharing your favorite recipes on your Blog. OMG…I got worried until I read that it was pregnancy safe!! Sweet!!! I received the following question from Amanda: I need to start going to the gym (and eating healthier), but I don’t know where to start! Do you have any tips when it comes to the gym? Thanks so much. The best tip I can ever give anyone in regards to the gym is MAKE YOURSELF… Just a short aside: listening to music via earphones LOUDLY while exercising is a bad idea. Exercise causes increased blood circulation which in turn causes the inner ear to become more sensitive. The loud music can cause permanent hearing loss. I know because it has happened to me. Did you take this picture? Is this gym in San Diego? If it is San Diego, CA. I used to work out there. Wow, it brings back great memories. I can’t even believe they would actually put an escalator in front of a gym! Although I would be the first person to take it! LOL! i am cracking up at the guys taking the escalator instead of the stairs right in front of the gym. too funny. wow. you said that perfectly. I’ve totally hit the slumps lately and that was very motivating. How funny is it that those two guys are taking the escalator to they gym? I’m dying to know if they worked out on the stair-stepper that day! Hee! Lots to be happy about lately… 1. The news of the new addition to my sister’s family.2. Spending the last several days in NYC, the greatest place on the planet. Lots of good food and new discoveries in the city, and fun to be with friends.3.
