jessica - Ali,

Thanks for visiting,
Jessica

Ali - Um, on a side note may I also mention that your skin looks AMAZING. Secret? Do tell!!!

jenn - :-) Happy Halloween! Can’t wait to see costume pictures of Gabrielle tonight!

Belen - I love how you look with long hair, you are so beautiful :) !!!! and Gabrielle looks just like you… can’t wait to be there!!!…. miss you!!!!

TammyL - These are so cool! At first, I thought you carved them! What a hip mom you are in many ways!

Coats.

Which one catches your eye first?

Sara - I feel pretty proud that I pulled this exact page out of Cookie mag for my “style file” loving all of the coats and now YOU post about it! Yea me! Love them all, but my fave is the cream coat. :) Thanks for the inspiration!

Heather - I love number 3!!!

Heather Jones - I’m loving #3 – esp. the collar!

elizabeth - definitely the red one with the high color! I’m on the hunt for a great red, wool coat this year. :)

Stephanie - The red one! I’m in the mood for something new and different for me – and the red one would be just perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Lisa Martin - the leopard print!

shannon Cdn - oooohhh! the RED one. Nice shape, vibrant color, structured. I LOVE IT!

{vicki} - #4

amanda - I love #3 and when I zoomed in on the details, I realized that it was named Amanda, like myself! How funny!

Jennifer - visually the red because it’s the brightest color in the bunch but I keep coming back to the gray on the right. I don’t know why. seems utilitarian with a bit of flair. like an old school military uniform from the revolutionary war or something…

Vera - I love #1. It has an interesting collar, but despite the wide collar, it still has a narrow waist. I’m only 5’1″ and I prefer slimmer profiles in my coats. The gray will go with anything too!

Stacy - The red is my favorite. And I’m pleased to see it is the most affordable of the options. If only I wasn’t going to be sporting a baby stomach this winter.

Home.

It's good to be home. Gabrielle has already made the rounds to all Grandpa's favorite grocery stores here in Federal Way, Washington, including Fred Meyer… Metropolitan Market… And H Mart (where they have BEAUTIFUL produce). We took a walk at the Redondo waterfront. Isn't this an incredible hedge? I just kept waiting for Alice and…

Christy - Wow. I forgot how beautiful it was in Federal Way. I used to live there and we was just there last July. It is always nice to look picture from Washington State. Your daughter is so cute!

elizabeth - How fun! I live right near Federal Way – not from here, but I live here now. Rainy day today. :)

Jessica Fulkerson O'Brien - that hedge! the food! her little uggs (which i abhor on adults)! such eye candy today.

{vicki} - I wish I was eating at your parent’s! Looks YUMMY!

Lindsay - You have such a BEAUTIFUL baby girl. It must be so wonderful knowing you had something to do with that ;)
It’s serendipitous that you are posting this. I am taking pictures of home tonight because I am moving to the “OC” on Saturday. There really is no place like home. Enjoy!

Liz - So glad you are enjoying your stay Jess. Time at home IS sweet and your parents do have the 411 on the best groceries!

San Fran, Day 5.

It doesn't get old waking up to this view. On our last day in San Francisco, we woke up early and walked to the Ferry Building Marketplace. Gabrielle loves walks! My mom and I enjoyed a bacon & gruyere brioche. And Gabrielle enjoyed Grandma Pati! And watching the trolleys roll by. Grandma Pati babysat Gabrielle…

San Fran, Day 4.

Saturday morning began with a walk over to the San Francisco Modern Museum of Art (where they do not reciprocate with NYC MOMA memberships by the way). While waiting for the museum to open, Grandma Pati, Gabrielle, and I browsed around the SFMOMA Museum Store (aka I found some books I liked and then ordered…

Meryl Hooker - Hey Jessica,
Fair enough. Thanks for your feedback.
I covet that clutch in ways not suitable to discuss on a classy page like yours.
Suffice it to say…well, I just hope they have one in stock when I’m in SF next month. :)

Heather Bulloch - I like Jeffrey’s plaid shirt! Did you pick it out?
xoxo
Heather

jessica - Hi Meryl,
I can certainly appreciate your viewpoint. And I’m happy to support a museum store in the purchase of products that are unique – that’s why I picked up the newspaper clutch and a few other items.
Here’s how I look at it – with the savings I made on the book and video products by purchasing those items at almost 40% cheaper on Amazon, I could buy a membership to the museum to truly support their cause.
There are many ways to support museums. Here’s a list (as example) of the Top 10 ways from the Chinese American Museum. http://www.camla.org/top10ways.html
Thanks for visiting!
Jessica

joy - san francisco seems awesome! thanks for sharing your adventures. enjoy the trip with your adorable babe and lovely guy.

robin - I’m lovin the pictures jessica..and enjoy so much just hearing about the places you’ve been to..I especially love the one with jeffrey and gabrielle …too sweet and the one of all three of you strollin the street..and I buy all my cd’s and books from amazon..huge selection and very good prices!

Meryl Hooker - I really enjoy following your adventures and think G is about the cutest baby EVER. Seriously.
You mentioned seeing books in the MOMA store but then ordering them from Amazon. While I’m all about saving money where I can, it sort of bothered me that you didn’t buy the books in the museum shop. Financial support for museums is severely compromised right now and store sales are an important part of helping to fund museum exhibits. I realize you are traveling and transporting a purchase can be difficult, especially with a baby in tow. Most stores will ship purchases anywhere you want.
If consumers treat stores like showrooms and don’t support museum stores and small businesses financially, they won’t survive.
I apologize if I sound overly critical. I really enjoy your blog and have admired you from afar for some time. For some reason, this just struck a sour cord with me today.
Whatcha think?

Tina Johnson - Emergency Spinal Cord..that sounds painful!

San Fran, Day 3.

Jeffrey often shows family pictures in his talks, but it was a special surprise to see this image on the big screen at his seminar in San Francisco. Jeffrey is such an incredible presenter. And everything he talks about is inspirational and real. There's high pride in knowing him. We headed down to Fisherman's Wharf…

Suzi - Looks like you are having a fabulous time! Let me know if you spot any cool baby lines! ;)

Tina Johnson - I agree with you so much, Jeffrey is an incredible and inspirational presenter. I hope he can come to Placentia one day! By the way what are you wearing on 10/20, do you mind sharing? Is that a dress? I love navy blue.

shannon Cdn - 1) love that part of Jeffery’s presentation
2) mmmmmmm cream puffs
Have a great day!

jenn - :) I’m sure that is the picture I saw in his talk in London! He is a fabulous presenter! Loved the family pics too! Glad your having a great time!!! :)
xoxo
jenn

Shannon - I hear ya Jeffrey, YUM, my favorite when visiting the west coast!
Fresh fruit and granola with yogurt are a must have at Cafe Pescatore @ the Tuscan Inn at Fisherman’s Wharf!
Enjoy your trip, safe travels.

robin - I can really see that Jeffrey was enjoying himself..and I love the fact he incorporated his family in his seminars..would love to hear him one day..your mom looks so pretty in that picture..and that plaid dress is going to look great on you!

tami - friends of mine never put their children in a babytub, always straight into the regular bathtub, they swim like fish now

San Fran, Day 2.

Good morning, San Francisco. Lunch at the House of Nanking on Kearny. They serve an incredible flowering hot tea. Gabrielle was more interested in the water. They have delicious food. The maintenance man at the hotel took this picture of me and Gabrielle!

lee - Love the picture of Gabrielle silhouetted against the streets of San Fran…lovely! =)

Yes, that was our first visit to House of Nanking. We loved the unexpected rudeness of the service! And will definitely visit again.
