Oh, Gabrielle – you delight me daily! You're so interested in books. And you're totally on the move now. I love how Making it Lovely has taken a picture of her daughter every month since birth in their Eames rocker. I wish I would have thought to do that with Gabrielle!

Monthly Archives: May 2010I'm looking forward to the upcoming concerts Jeffrey and I will be attending. On the schedule so far is James Taylor and Carole King for their Trubadour Reunion, Hall & Oates, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Lady Gaga. I so love going to concerts. And there isn't one I can remember attending that I… Pretty jealous about the James Taylor concert, we just barely missed him in Portland on the 8th of May. Enjoy all your nights out! Sounds like a lot of fun to come! do you have a favorite concert of all the ones you’ve seen? a favorite venue? usually for me, the smaller and more intimate, the better. i saw Dave Matthews last night, front row in Hartford CT, amazing. just amazing. I’ve always wanted to see hall and Oates live…kind of strangely, they are pretty cheesy… Have fun though! Jessica – Lady Gaga is amazing in concert. I can’t wait to see her next time she comes to Atlanta and I’m considering seeing her in Vegas this summer. Have a blast! Love that floor mess crafts can turn into something pretty! Like this sweet and simple wrapped gift. The finished product reminded me of Dolce & Gabana's Fall 2010 Ready To Wear. And incorporated my idea of tucking the gift card right into the wrapping paper. (I detached the ruler and blade from my Fiskars paper… This is such a fanatastic yet simple idea! I love it! what a neat idea. Love the inspiration behind this! You are awesome! Hi Kristina! Those alphabet stamps are so much nicer than most I have seen! Do you remember where you found them? Hi Kelsey! Love the wrapping! so cute! Ok that is officially one of the coolest gift wraps I’ve ever seen. Awesome! Sweet idea! Love the slit/card treatment. Such a sweet and creative idea! took me a second to “get” that it was tucked in. how cool! On a phone call yesterday, my Dad reminded me to "relish in the simple pleasures of life." Amen. Thanks Dad. Yes, amen. (and may I say I love the beret!!) And they come in other fun hues. love the Jessica McDougall seal of approval. such a clever, clever lady. there’s always something to pick up at steve madden! love the yellow + fuschia love these shoes those are SO cute jessica..and they can be dressed up or down..love them Here's a little photographic update about my recent (domestic) delights: 1. Our friends Bill and Georgia shared fresh and wonderfully fragrant basil from their garden with me. What a splendid gift to receive! 2. Gabrielle picked up the pen with her left hand. I'm a lefty, so of course that made me smile! 3. Tasty… So glad you & Erin met! The peonies are gorgeous…it’s the simple things in life. YOU PUT MY DESIGN UP!!! YAY YAY YAY <3 YA!! Gotta love a lefty! My dad was and i think my little girl may be too! x beautiful! love the peony shot as well. This is SO great! So flattered that Frances and I were considered as part of your May delights. “12. Not sure if there is a better sight than peony blooms wrapped in newspaper.” amen. you are darling. BLACK fingerpaint. You ARE a fun Mom! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and I'm daydreaming of sitting out in the garden having an ice cold lemonade with a friend on this bench. ooh la la – thanks for the link, Jessica! a lovely daydream. i’ll swing by with fresh fare from the aptly named Lemonade http://www.lemonadela.com/lemonade-home At 14 months old, you're quickly becoming the coolest little person on the planet. Love the hat…Gabrielle has so many opportunities in her life to learn and travel. I’m happy for her. Love, Gramma Pati Gabrielle, my hope for you: May you look like America’s next top model in your lab coat while solving the world’s condensed matter nuclear science equation (cold fusion). Only 14 months old, and she already can work a hat! “America’s Next Top Model” for the year 2027 ? she’s got my vote! Whether you're a local or planning a visit to Charlotte in the future, it's great to have an insider's guide to where to eat, shop, and visit. (My last trip to Portland and San Francisco I had an incredible list of handpicked places to visit and it made a world of difference!) The Charlotte Magazine… can you share your san francisco list? i’m heading there on tuesday next week! Thanks!!! Actually coming there for my 1st visit next week for my cousin’s HS graduation. Perfect timing. BTW, love the blog. Your little girl is the cutest. Can’t wait to see it for ourselves! Thanks for sharing! I look forward to the possibility of exploring some of these on future trips to the Charlotte area, and can’t wait to share the list with my friends in that area, too. =) Jess, I would really love to hear about your best’s for San Francisco. My daughter and I are visiting there for a wedding and then spending a week to explore – I have been there a couple of times but always with someone that knew the city. We are arriving from Melbourne, Australia. just downloaded,,,so many places I’ve never heard of as well as those I have but haven’t gone to..can’t wait to do some exploring this summer..thank you! Trying more pizza in Charlotte. This time it was Hawthorne's New York PIzza and Bar. We've been there many times and keep going back. Fresh green salad. And my favorite item on the menu – homemade potato chips! Great post! Return to us soon! And bring the camera I’m not a foodie but your pictures make me want to become one! yummy…will have to check this place out..thanks jessica noticed Jeffrey’s Flyers shirt in your last post…it was an amazing game/comeback tonight, he must be thrilled. We keep going back to Hawthorne’s too! However, I think Pietown might be better. I haven’t tried the homemade potato chips yet though! |
