jeffrey - it’s the shoes!

Rachel @ Pencil Shavings - Precious girl! When my son took his first steps, I just lost it. I was boohooing. It was so inspiring to see him take those steps!
Oh, and totally not child-related, but I must say, you inspired me to pick up that three-dots grey cardi you’re wearing in your “Today’s Style” photo. I have it in the stripe version (and I looove it), but you looked so chic in your grey one, I had to have it too!

robin - yipppeee!!!!….can’t wait to see a clip of her toddling around

leni - so exciting!!!

Belen - YAY!!! for you sweetie I can’t wait to see you :) …. I’m so proud of you!!!

Love to floss.

I thought I'd never say this, but here goes: I now love flossing my teeth! And it's thanks to my REACH Access flosser which works wonderfully and really does make flossing as easy as brushing.

Liz - Funny…Henry just picked up one of these at the Dentist on Friday. He’s pretty keen on his too. :)

~M~ - Oh man I LOVE THAT THING!
I have even – dare I say it — flossed TOO MUCH with it. Laying in bed, watching a movie, floss floss floss. Reading a book, floss, floss. Blogging? Yep! Floss floss floss! It is great!

Serena - I have been using this for about 2 years. I love it. Quick and easy.

robin - ohhh…gotta get this… thanks jessica!

Shelly - i used to hate flossing too but now that I have a tool that works for me I like it too! It is worth noting that all flossing tools are not created equal :)

Soak it up.

There is incredible mental magic for me in bringing Gabrielle to the places where I got to be a kid. And the delight is heightened when I see the joy she can discover. Soak it all up, baby, soak it up.

Amber - Love these photos of you and Gabrielle! Absolutely beautiful!

Sue - Gabrielle is going to have an awesome scrapbook of memories to look at when she gets older! You’re creating a very special journal for her with your photos and stories.
She will definitely thank you for doing this when she grows up!

ALI - I love how you called it “mental magic.”

jamie - Beautiful photo of the sun shining on her face….sweet girl! Sharing special childhood places with our kids brings back so many memories…it gives us a chance to relive moments from the past through new eyes.

Lighthouse Beach.

We are spending time at my parent's place on the Oregon Coast so that Jeffrey can write and dictate the content for his next book. This is a wonderful and magical nature-filled place. Here's a little glimpse of what we're seeing each day. The birds having their breakfast amidst the fog-filled bluff backdrop. Both my…

17 months.

You are 17 months young (and old) today, sweet Gabrielle. You laugh out loud when you hear others doing the same. It makes us laugh more. You go right to sleep at night when it's time (6PM) for bed. And you're ready to get up and start the day bright and early (5AM) and sometimes…

Sugar.

This is a sign I'll follow! How delightful that it lead to this tiny treasure trove of tasty treats in Tacoma! Gabrielle chose a candy necklace. I picked up some cherry jelly beans (super cute packaging) Flicks Dark Non-Pareils and sour tape. And sweet little Lucy checked out the licorice ropes.

lacy - If you ever get the chance visit a Powell’s sweet shop. There is one in Willow Glen here in San Jose, CA that is PURE MAGIC! http://www.powellsss.com/go/index.cfm/locations/

Danielle - Little candy shops like these are absolutely wonderful to come across! We have one in the Willow Glen are of San Jose that is just pure delight everytime we venture inside!

Erin Huber - LOVE the alliterative prose used in the caption under the picture of the charming storefront…very clever! Alliteration is probably my favorite literary device. Miss you guys!!! :)
