Monthly Archives: February 2011A couple weeks ago we took a family road trip from Charlotte to Atlanta (about a 3.5 hour drive) to attend my cousin Walker's (and his beautiful bride Amy) wedding. Zeebee has been the traveling companion of choice for Gabrielle lately. I love the adventure of traveling with a one-year-old. My packing checklist now includes… You ALWAYS look beautiful, but your makeup is amazing. Your hair looks fabulous!! You are both so beautiful! You know, I would love a post of how you pack for Gabrielle (or yourself and Gabrielle) on your trips. I just spent a month away with my 3 month old son and we had two weekend trips during our month away. I learned a lot on how to pack, but I think I could always find a better way by hearing how other people do i. I love the picture of Gabrielle’s feet. So, so cute. That last picture is beautiful Jess. Love, love your hair. beautiful… I'm trying out OPI's Axxium gel laquer "two week" manicure. I'd love to have maincured nails that don't chip! (Wouldn't everyone?) I actually tried this once before. Had it done at a cheap place and wasn't that impressed with the result after the first couple days. So I gave it a second chance and had… Heather – The removal process that I experienced was quick and pain free. Yes, there was a bit of foil involved, but very little filing. With the correct solution, the remaining gel was easily pushed off with a cuticle stick. i find that if you use the opi chipskip before any of their nail polishes, that it stays for weeks! any polish will last 2-3 weeks after using it on my hands. on my toes, the polish lasts for about a month! you will literally want to change the color of nail polish before it chips. I saw something on the news this morning about this and the process to have it removed has me thinking that I will have to pass. Jess – The Color I chose is Strawberry Margarita. I LOVE the color you are wearing, do you happen to recall the shade? I will wait to see how it works out….would love something that lasts more than 3 days. Dying to know if it works and if it’s worth the price. They offer it at BLISS here in Manhattan… but always wonder if these things work or not… Actually I think it’s called Minxx at Bliss? Maybe it’s the same thing? Had it done for the first time about a month ago and loved it. Have only had it done again last week and nails continue to look great. Ooooh…can’t wait to see how it turns out! I too had it done once and was not at all impressed. But, like you, I went to El Cheapo Salono. If anyone can do it right, Modern can. When I had it done there were only a few colors to choose from. Has OPI added anymore colors to the mix? I had this done at a cheap place too and was not impressed. I am headed to Modern Salon today…for a haircut! Yay! Please do let us know how you like this Jessica. Being a full time crafter and thus hand washer, I can never keep OPI polish on my nails for more than a day without chipping. I’d love to find a better solution.
