Thanks park.

We live in an old factory – which has amazing advantages like the sound of the rain on the roof, and lots of space with high ceilings and exposed beams, and the openess of not too many walls, and that vintage industrial feeling I love – but the one drawback for life with a little…

Amber - This looks like so much fun! Love the pictures of Gabrielle drinking the water!

Erin Huber - Did Jeffrey take these photos? You are BOTH such great photographers!

Suzette - kids make every moment an adventure at this age! I loved this stage so much when my boys were toddlers.

My little muffin.

The overripe bananas on the kitchen counter and a-bit-too-tart-to-eat-straight-up blueberries in the fridge were calling my name today, so I found a recipe online for blueberry banana muffins to give them some justice. (Thanks for the inspiration, Jess!) Gabrielle was playing quietly and reading books just off our kitchen area, so I began to retrieve…

Farmer’s Market.

Charlotte has a great regional farmer's market. Jeffrey, Gabrielle, and I took an outing there last weekend in search of fresh produce. We came home with spinach. (Which I've been loving in breakfast egg white scrambles with cherry tomatoes and red bell peppers.) Beautiful peaches. I was so happy to get home with all the…

Suzette - I love chopped salad so much. And that salsa looks delish.

Canyon Ranch.

I'm a little bummed to be leaving summer camp (Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizon) today. It has been such an amazing, inspiring, spiritually re-energizing visit. A chance to learn and reflect. I drank a TON of water. And ate healthy, simple, well proportioned food. It's incredible how wonderful your body can feel just based on…

Erin Huber - Looks like heaven

Nichole - Love your trip chronology… beautiful dose of Zen for a day in NYC…

Cynthia - that was a relaxing post i think I got a little relaxation out of reading it. I have heard this was a great place to relax your mind I might need to put it on my list.

Sherry - One of my most relaxing vacations ever. I loved the food, the massages, and the classes. I giggle every time I think about all the “fiber farting” that was going on in the classes and how the instructors would be proud if you passed gassed.

Susan - My Aunt goes there every year and raves about it…she keeps asking me to go with her. I think it looks divine!!

Wing Haven Gardens.

I LOVE when my mom and dad travel to Charlotte to visit us. And their recent visit was an extra special one because there were several must-visit places I wanted to take them. The places were special because they remind me of my parents and they're places I go in Charlotte to find peace, nature,…

lee - The garden looks beautiful…and it looks like your daughter had fun exploring!
Have you been to Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden out in Belmont? It wouldn’t be as convenient for you to get to, but some friends took me there a couple of years ago while I was visiting the Charlotte area. I don’t consider myself a gardens person, but I actually really enjoyed it! =)

Erin Huber - Oh my gosh! Your parents are two of the SWEETEST people I have ever met. These are ALL precious, but my fave is of the one of G running…what a great shot!

robin - love these photos jessica!….whata wonderful place and I can’t wait to visit…I bet your parents are some pretty super people, the capture of them with gabrielle is just lovely

Suzette - You always inspire to take the time to go to these lovely little places in Charlotte! Thank you!

Susan - Aw, I miss Wing Haven…it was a few streets away when I lived there. Great place!

whitney - beautiful. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I just love your eye for detail, for beauty and the care you take in appreciating and documenting life. inspiring.

Dailys.

In my efforts to refine my getting ready and going to bed routine (after achieving simplification with makeup), I've narrowed my favorite products/necessary prescriptions down to this: Clindamycin pledgets. Love these medicated wipes as a quick step after washing my face to remove any remaining residue from skin. I've been using these for years. Latisse….

Leah - Recently went to my dermatologist looking for an age defying daily cream (thinking I’d be in for a hefty price tag) and they told me the best thing out there for 30 somethings is CeraVeAM :) Thanks for spreading the news!

Ali - Go Jess go!

Mary - Thanks for sharing your routine! Glad to hear your thoughts on the CeraVe products. I have been using the cream on my daughter’s skin to help keep her eczema in check but never really thought to try it out myself!
