Monthly Archives: September 2011 It was an extra special treat during our stay in Paris that my mom made the trek from Seattle to join us. She fit in perfectly with our scheduled joy-filled days of discovery. And I think, just like I did, that she enjoyed seeing the simple pleasures (like bubble blowing) with not-so-simple (magnificent) backdrops like…  This was the glorious moment of our stay in Paris when Jeffrey and I Gabrielle fell in love with all things carousel! There’s a very specific process for carousel riding. You procure tickets from the attendant. You pick out which contraption you’ll ride in. Your adult places you and buckles you in. Then the attendant… Tania – Thank you for your sweet words. Gabrielle ADORES Simon and can’t stop giggling at his recent knock-knock joke telling. They have a really special bond – and I often see the same resemblance you do oh jessica…she’s such a joy. and so stunningly beautiful. it’s amazing how much you can see your family resemblance in these photos, especially the one in the white hat–i think she looks so much like her cousin simon there. sweet, sweet. Love her.  We picked Le Dome St. Paul for last night’s dinner. I love looking up to a view like this while dining outside. It appears the view of Rue de Rivoli is just as beautiful in the rain. My mom got these captures of Gabrielle and me – and they’re such a wonderful representation of what our stay has been about here. There has been a TON of walking (and strollering and carrying). Based on a recommendation from Babyccino, we headed to Pink Flamingo in Le Marais for a pizza . At this fine establishment you have several dining options. The first is inside their black and white and pink themed shop. The second is inside their VW bus parked just outside (seen above). The third (the option… Amber – Thanks lady! Jessica – you look every bit the part of a chic Parisian mama! Absolutely beautiful. Enjoy! man that is awesome ( I love VW buses)…haven’t seen anything like that here…but whata cute idea! and the pizza looked delicious. Great marketing concept food vintage and fun!  One of my must dos with Gabrielle in Paris was to visit Le Jardin d’Acclimation – a wonderful, whimsical, (and ancient!) amusement park on the outskirts of the city that was opened in 1860 by Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie.
