Monthly Archives: March 2012 Not many days go by without Gabrielle asking, “Can we bake something?” She’s discovered that tasting as the baking process progresses is a big highlight! I let her pour the measured ingredients into the bowls and do some of the stirring. But I love to try new food. Especially fresh and natural! I picked up this goodness from Maki Taco, a Charlotte food truck with a Pan Asian influence. (You can follow them on Facebook to see their… While flying on Thursday, I saw an article in US Airways’ magazine about food trucks – including one in Charlotte (Roots) with fare like heirloom tomato sandwiches with black-pepper aioli or prosciutto and parmesan mac and cheese. It made me wonder if you’d heard of it or tried their grub. =) Hallo! I’m booking my flight to Charlotte. Those are right up my flavor alley! I have seen their truck in my neighborhood. lee - I think it’s so wonderful that you and she bake together. I have great memories of being in the kitchen with my mom while growing up, and I firmly believe that those early experiences planted the seed for my adult self’s love for cooking and baking. =)
