Bye Bye Baby.

The better part of nearly three years of Gabrielle’s sartorial existence is headed out the door today. I’m trying a consignment sale for the first time – and I’m excited to see what the outcome of my preservation of these items will be. I’m taking them to The Posh Closet sale in hopes that some…

Dana - I have been purging both my children’s clothing as they grow since there are very few hand me downs, having both a boy and girl. I have kept many of both children’s 100% cotton outfits as I intend to put together two quilts for me to remember my favorite outfits from the time when I got to choose what they would wear. Enjoy it while it lasts, Tatum will no longer wear anything that is not knit and neither of my children will wear denim. Fortunately, they both like black, one of my favorite colors to wear and buy.

Susan - Oh, how sweet! How I wish I could go shop that sale in Charlotte-I’ve loved everything Gabrielle has worn and hope my own children can be as stylish!

Sarah Welch - This makes me tear up. Its always sad to say goodbye to the past but fun to look forward to the future. So impressed with your organization!

Bruna - Looking at these pictures brought me back great memories…

sue - I hope that you’ve kept some of her most special outfits (or most memorable). When Gabrielle becomes a mom, she will love the fact that you have kept them to hand down to her children. I did that with my son and to see my grandsons wearing the clothes brings back precious memories!

Reeve - I don’t know how you can do this! You are so much better than me, and I don’t even have a kid;)

I’m sure all of G’s beautiful clothes will make another Mom and little tot very very happy!

Miss ya’ll.

Bento!

I love packing Gabrielle’s lunch. It’s especially fun and easy with her PlanetBox lunchbox. I tried a couple other bento-style lunchboxes before this one – and have found this one to be the best. It is dishwasher safe and comes out perfect after each wash – without any rust areas or color change to the…

Jen - I love that. That’s seriously cool. Do they have an adult version of this? I would love to have something like instead of old tupperware in a bag. :)

Erin - Ooh! Totally taking notes for when I’ll be packing Frances’ lunch next year!

Ali - Loved this post. You should also check out Wendolina for ideas to put in the bento: http://wendolonia.com/blog/

Tammy - I love this! I need to do this for my kiddos. No waste, colorful food, this is great! Thanks for sharing.

The Frat Pack + Me - Can you make my lunch, please?

lee - What a great-looking bento box! It’s so neat to see the care and creativity you put into packing your daughter’s lunches. =)

You at 2.

This is you at two. When you wake up in the morning, KA-POW! You expect all other members of the house to jump from bed and get moving. I love it. I love that zest for life. You’re fully toilet trained. It happened quite naturally. And now you’re pretty happy to no longer wear PullUps….

Lannie - This is absolutely wonderful and I know Gabrielle will love reading it as she grows…..

Mefi - love the happy chair comment. i could use that for me and the children. thanks.

jessica o'brien | jessohbee - i love your note about your technique of the “happy chair” and how you’re teaching her that she has personal power over her emotions. this wasn’t something i learned clearly until well into my 20s. so wise of you.

robin - hard to believe she’s 2…a beautiful child inside and out and an even more wonderful mom who continues to document and admire just how special she really is! Your post continue to be an inspiration for my day…thank you

Anastasia - Absolutely beautiful

Debbie McIntyre - Beautifully said and how wonderful that you took the time to write this all down in detail. Truly beautiful. Hard to believe how fast the two years has gone by. xo

Rebekah Crowley - Sounds just like her Mama and Papa and oh so beautiful.

Sarah - Everything about this is awesome. She sound like such a sweet little girl.

Ali - Oh you know I think this is AWESOME – especially the yes attitude part :) .

Sue - What a wonderful life story for a beautiful two year old! Gabrielle sounds like she has developed a wonderful personality, and a very inquisitive mind! You have shown her so much love, and exposed her to so many interesting experiences in her life. She will treasure reading the journal you have kept for her when she is older!

January delights.

Chanel’s Glowing Blush Harmony. So pretty.   Love Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2012 strappy shoes.   Happy Mama&G time in Charlotte.   Crazy Fair Isle leggings on a cold day.   I’m so excited to be doing Ali’s suggested Project Life. And at the same time I’m loving Instagram. The result is the sweetest little prints from PostalPix…

jessica - Linda – I used Picnik.com to make the collage. They were bought out by Google and will soon be offering all their services for no fee. Woohoo!

Robin – The sound quality is perfect (depending on the quality of the record). We are so enjoying having a record player in the home!

Mefi and Suzette – I love PostalPix! Also just received some of the Instagoodies stuff I ordered. Definitely recommend both!

Thank you Jordan and Lou!

Linda - Jessica- may I ask what rogram you use for your wonderful photo collages?

robin - another great post…love finding out about items you or jeffrey love, I click on each link. and that last photo of you is killer, you look absolutely gorgeous. My huband and I were looking for an old turntable at sleepy poet yesterday but the one you show looks great! how’s the sound quality? I’d loved to just get out some of our old lp’s and start collecting vinyl again.

Mefi - Thanks for the PostalPix tip.

The Frat Pack + Me - So you like PostalPix? I am still waiting on my order!

Jordan - Happy New Year! I love the way you captured the month. Beautiful Jess!

Liz - You are a darling darling girl. I love you. And you know I love me some red lipstick!
